Someone joked we could visit a Welsh junkyard during our 5-day meet later this month. But what would our group of 15+ people do there? I’m asking you, oh wise Oppo. What’s your suggestion?

Put a seat on an airbag and see which country has the person that gets the most air.

Good idea! Even better: a German on a German airbag, a Frenchman on a French airbag, an American on an American airbag and a Brit on a British airbag.

Well we all know ze german will fly the farthest as they are the smallest, the american will fly the 2nd highest, the french airbag will just instantly start smoking like a cig, and the British airbag will electrocute whomever is on top of it.

if you are serious about going to a scrapyard you might have to check with them ahead of time as some don’t allow people to just go wandering around anymore (possibly because of h&s?)

if you are serious about going to a scrapyard
Not really, as I don’t really see what we could do there. However, when someone has a brilliant idea...

you get 10 hours to build anyways, and you need a pro for each team, judges,........
rally car of course.......

Definitely this. Nobody probably will bring along enough tools to build anything and its never as easy as tv makes it look anyways lol.
A scavenger hunt would be really cool though. Like collecting badges or find a car from the furthest away manufacturing location. Something of that nature.

Most places have gone away from the traditional scrapyard, you mostly don’t get to take the parts yourself. There’s one locally that might still be more old fashioned, but I’ve not been there for a few years. It’s the right kind of place to have a 406 coupe (wrong interior though).

I’ve got 4 Japanese ones and the spare seat. They might even be Takatas for added excitement!

The furthest away manufacturing location would be Japan, or if there’s an oddball Australian car it would be that. Scavenger hunt could be interesting, although I’m skeptical about a junkyard allowing our 15 people rummaging around. I’ll throw it in the group though.
